So yesterday during a starcraft 2 game i just closed the notebook and it made this loud pitching noise sound like it was gonna blow up.

Is that normal for Starcraft 2 or is it the Laptop?

It never made that noise when i've closed it all the other times.

Did the notebook move while the optical drive was spinning? Does it go to sleep when the lid is closed?

Then the sound can go wibly sometimes since your kind of shutting it down in the middle of operation.
