    Acer 5920 BIOS Upgrade Win7 64bit

    Hi,

    I've downloaded the latest Acer 5920 BIOS 3813. When I try to update the BIOS using WinPhlash I get an error:

    "Cannot load driver "C:\WINPHLASH\PHLASHNT.SYS, Please check you accounts, if you have no administrator privilege, please login again! This driver has been blocked from loading Error Code 1275"

    Im using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and so tried running in compatibility mode for XP SP2 but I still get the same error. THe PHLASHNT.SYS file is not readonly either.

    Ive googled around and found you can make a Boot CD but all the links are dead that tell you how to install the BIOS through DOS

    OK having done some research apaprently you can flash using .WPH files in a DOS Boot, can anyone confirm this is correct as I thought .WPH fiels win Windows only files

    Hi, another thread? :) Did you run it with admin rights, right click and run as administrator?
