I've had a bit of a play with the 5920 and think that the hinges are sturdy; however i dont like the hinge design as it means that the unit has to be thicker

    Hi all!

You can read about this in 5920 cnet review, but maybe its not true. I can imagine that someone paid for them to write so much fooly things about this laptop. I say this because in every other reviews it got so high points, and everyone says its a very good one, without problems ;)

hey guys i was wondering also about the build quality of the acer 5920g and the overclockability of the 8600gt in it ...
any chance of going beyond the lame 400mhz memory clocks ...
as im still having doubts about the overclocked 8600gt performance when put against a 7900gs, which is better in ur opinion ?
without looking into the dx10 potential of the 8600gt as IMO is very weak and slim ..

cnet laptop reviews are all trash as usual. They ALWAYS give less known brands crappy ratings. They also messed up the specification of 5920G at the bottom. Just check out the G1 review. I believe I sent you a pm of a list of other reviews. None of the reviews said that the display wobbles easily.

BTW problem with cnet is they always favour on brands that paid on them for reviews  I never stick with cnet reviews..

No, Cnet has crappy reviews, with inconsistent ratings and are essentially written based on the specs and price of the machine.

Yeah, but the brand is not very well-known in the US. :(
