    Good day to everyone -
According to the manual, our Acer 5920 headphone port is capable of sending a digital 5.1 signal. I'd like to try jacking the laptop into the home theater. AFAICT the proper cable would have a 3.5 mini jack for the Acer headphone port and an RCA jack at the other end that plugs into the amplifier's digital coax input.

Do I get a 3.5 mono plug like this?

You wouldn't buy a 3.5 stereo plug, would you?

I'm pretty sure mono is the right one but want to make sure. Thanks!!
