    Acer 5920 external monitor help

    Hello,

    Please excuse me if this sounds dumb but I have a problem setting up an external monitor with my Acer 5920.

    A while back my notebook fell from my hand, and the LCD screen got detached, and my warranty would not cover it, so I had to use an external monitor. the external monitor was working fine, until today when I decided to re-install Vista on the notebook since It was really cluttered with useless things.

    So after it reinstalled vista it said to restart the notebook to finish installation, after I restarted it, it showed the vista progress bar loading, then my screen just goes black, and nothing comes up, although the notebook is completly powered up and running.

    For some strange reason, Acer Arcade works fine, but the second I try to switch to the desktop it goes black.
