    It just stopped working, dunno why.. it won't read discs or anything.
    Device Manager said the driver was corrupt, so I un-installed it and restarted for it to re-install it, no luck... When it searches for the update it says it failed and Device Manager says it's corrupt (again)
    I can't use my recovery discs to fix this (for it won't read discs at all)

    Other problems: In Half-Life 2: DeathMatch (and other games) the sound gets very choppy/grainy and my FPS drops to around 10 or so, it becomes unplayable.
    I've tried uninstalling the sound driver, installing the newest one, updating the BIOS (thought it might help), updating the graphics card driver (laptopvideo2go), and uninstalling my graphics card and sound card with DriverCleaner and re-installing them.

    Please help? ><;

    What operating systems are you using? Have you installed or modified anything that might of caused these problems? Do you remember doing anything in particular when the problems arose?

    Running Vista Home Premium, I haven't modified anything. The only things I've installed were the BIOS update and other updates for it. And I wasn't really doing anything when it happened

    Fixed the DVD problem; Uninstalled Adaptec Gamebridge driver.
    Still have the choppy/grainy sound with low FPS in games ><
