    Hi Guys,

Bought a 5920G yesterday, when I plug the hdmi cable into the HDMI out port on my laptop into my HDTV it simply makes my laptop screen go blank and the tv (set to HDMI channel) does not pick anything up andjust says 'no signal'

I have the 5920G version with the Ati 5920G graphics, VGA works fine but out of principal im determined to get the HDMI working, does anyone have any ideas?

    cheers

After you plug in the HDMI cable, look at your function keys and one should have a pic of a screen or two screens. I belive it is ethier F5 on your computer, but im not sure. Anyway, find the button, then hold the Fn key next to the Ctrl key and press the function button that you think it is. Press multiple times until the screen appears on the tv. Also try other fuction buttons that you suspect it may be. That should work.

EDIT: i made sure of the right button, press Fn+F5 multiple times until the screen appears on TV. Also switch between TV Inputs to make sure the tv is on the right setting.

ok I got it working, after about 30 seconds of being plugged in it displays great on my HDTV, however, I just started up crysis and lost signal, it doesnt seem to like various resolutions and gives up on me when I use one it doesnt like, well, thats what I presume the problem is anyway!

just had the same problem with CS : Source, lose signal to TV as soon as I start it up, so I have to pull the cable out and exit using my laptop screen.

Try running it on the laptop only at a resolution you know works on the tv. then plug in the cable and see if it works then.
