The problems I've had with this laptop....the 2 USB ports to the top left of the laptop do not seem to detect anything other than a small USB key that I have. Tried a printer USB and a mouse USB but neither seem to be detected at all-no power given out to the mouse. These are both fine in the other ports! Is there anything I can do to fix this? Many thanks

I would inspect the ports for bent pins. It is possible that one or more of the pins in the port is bent and not making contact.
