I have drivers installed but i just found that it cannot read Memory Stick Pro Duo. It always say that the disk is not formated (when it is) and if i try to format it it says it cannot format the disk.

I have try to read/format 3 Memory Stick Pro Duo cards (2 of them are Sony and one is SanDisk) with exactly the same results.....

I've noticed this same exact issue with Sandisk SD cards. It seems to be an issue with the driver as the card reader reads them fine in Ubuntu, which uses a different driver than the one provided with the OEM install of Vista.

I get this problem as well, ever since installing x64 Vista Ultimate.

It just won't read my Memory Stick Pro Duo's. It detects the stick but won't actually open it - asks me to insert it!? So looks like the O/S can't read the contents.

My SD cards work fine though.

The card reader was 100% when running 32bit Vista Home so not sure if this is a driver thing, SP1 thing or simply a problem with 64bit Vista..

I've been searching for days trying to find a solution but can't.. I even tried installing older drivers but stil the same issue..

Any help on this would be massively appreciated.

After posting the above I only went and found the solution!

Check out the details this post

Let me know if this fixes the issue for you - I'm hoping you have the same card reader as I do in my Dell.
