    Hello
i am going to buy ACER 5920G tomorrow
and i have some question hope you answer them for me before i buy it
    thanks in advance

i will use this laptop mainly for graphics work
so i would like to hear some comments about its performance on programs like poser, vue and 3d Studio max
if someone tried them on this one already
like how much a mid complex scene take to render on the ultra superior quality on vue or equivalent on other programs

hmm... or at least is it capable on running latest games
like NFS Pro street and Medal of honor Airborne without any difficulties

and also i will upgrade its ram to 4gb when buying.. so this requires Win64 bit version
i am not familiar with 64-bit environment so ..
does 32-bit normal programs will work normally with a 64bit edition of windows???? Programs like "graphics programs, office, norton,games,....."
and sure is the drivers of the 64bit windows differ than the normal 32 bit ones

also does Acer 5920 G all versions come with the "ready boost" function

i am going to run many heavy programs on this laptop so i really don't want to buy it and last in a not hard work friendly one

is the 8600GT VGA card up to 2GB memory with a 4 gb upgrade laptop model

a last question does it default includes its remote or it is optional

note: please don't suggest other models i have searched alot and decided to buy this one specially

    laptop spec:

    15.4 inch screen
    2ghz santa roza core2duo
    4gb ram "after upgrade"
160 Toshiba HDD Sata with 5400rpm
Nvidia 8600 GT 256 DDR up to 1 gb

hope u answer me fast because i am going to buy it tomorrow , thanks for your valuable help

Is the 8600M GT GDDR2 or GDDR3? The performance difference is huge

The performance difference is far from huge. It also depends on the games.

    1. I don't know about 3d graphic work, but 8600GT DDR2 is more than capable of handling NFS pro street at the highest settings.
    2. 64 bit XP or Vista??
Anyway most 32-bit driver doesn't work well with 64-bit OS so you DO NEED to search for compatible 64-bit driver. Specifically for 5920G however I've no trouble finding all the correct driver for 64bit Vista ultimate. You're welcome to PM me later on if you have any trouble.
As for software and games, I suggest you to research each title specifically regarding 64-bit compatibility. While the programs/games don't have to be designed for 64bit to run in a 64-bit OS, compatibility issues are very probable. However, most well-known, popular softwares such as MS Office shouldn't have any problem.
    3. Readyboost is standard on all Vista machines. However, enabling this feature only worsened my system performance.
    4. Maximum shared graphic memory, or tubo cache, is the same regardless of how much RAM you have.
    5. Remote is optional.

Lastly, you made a great choice. 5920G is an awesome laptop.
