    Hi guys!
I'm a total noob so pls pardon me... and there were no other threads (that I found)
that relates to these questions of mine... If there is, I'm terribly sorry.
    so here goes:

I bought a 5920G from Malaysia and it only has 1GB ram. My machine's been running fine till I recently came to the US when it starts acting up on me. I cant run FIREFOX (streaming anime videos) for too long and have MSN MESSENGER running all the time. It will get all laggy and then the explorer.exe (I think) will pretty much fail ( the screen gets weird with all the afterimages, taskbar stops working, etc.)

My physical memory use is constantly 75% and above.
Firefox takes about 100k memory(private working set) and Desktop Windows Manager takes up about 40k (so I always shut it down)
Besides, my acer video enhancement program fails ever so often.

So I've basically worked it down to the fact that my system is killing the 1GB ram.

Hence, I'm looking for a new ram.

so here are my main questions:
    a) Could you fit a ram with heatspreader into 5920G?

    b) is 5920G compatible with 800Mhz rams?
(because after reading these 2 threads:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1960399
    and
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=121363

I've simply gotten really confused. My processor is intel T7300 and yet
there is a Intel Centrino Duo sticker on my 5920G. So what exactly can my
Processor be classified as? More importantly, will it take advantage of
    the 800Mhz rams?)

c)For maximized performance, should I just get another 1Gb ram(making it 2Gb total) or get a 2Gb ram(making it 3Gb total). Because I know that Vista would just recognize 3.5Gb even if I have a 4Gb.

These maybe very silly questions for you tech gods in this forum but please help me out~
    THANKS! :D

    a. I believe so
    b. Get 667 RAM
    c. If I were you, I'd get a 2 GB stick and live with 2.5 GB RAM so you can upgrade easier in the future to 4 GB.

a-heatspreader is ok..but cooling pad is better
    b-BUY 667 ram
c-making it 3gb will give better performance

    point c - FSb of T7300 is 800MHz. Ram speed 667MHz
Speed of FSB> Speed of Ram. So system speed will be lowest component speed.

If we put 1Gb and 2Gb Ram will it keep the bandwidhth availability of Ram at 667 itself rather than 667*2 which could have been made available by using
    2 * 1 Gb Ram stick at 667Mhz?

Lot of net sources are available on this. Kindly verify

I believe you can't make a dual channel with different memory capacity. I might be wrong.
If you required to have 2x2 Gb Ram then use 64bit Vista.
Intel mobile 965 architecture are different, the FSB is 800mhz but the Ram Speed max out at 667mhz. That how mobile works and it is not the same as the desktop counterpart.
