Does any one know if the Acer 5920g (purchased in September 07, UK) can read SDHC cards?

If it has an SD card reader it's probably compatible... I think?

Hard to find any info confirming compatibility. (There is a similar post in the Asus forum)

I have a 4GB miniSD card which works perfectly well in the Acer's card reader (with use of an adapter to make it SD size), however it does not have a SDHC logo on the miniSD card so I can not be sure if it is SDHC at all. Some 4GB cards are not SDHC (which I suspect is the case with mine) so I'm sorry for not being able to provide anything more conclusive.

Very confusing. Very 'unfriendly' for the consumer.

I see possible issues with cards being recognised but perhaps not working to their quoted capacity or read/write speeds.

I got my 5920g in the USA and it works fine for sdhc. I think it is faster with the usb card reader that I plug into the side of it though.

while this may answer your question (unless there is some difference in the actual type of card reader between sub-models in the 5920G series), you could also open up a support ticket with Acer asking for clarification on this :)

    Thanks a LOT guys.

One more thing, have you guys tried Class 6 cards?

Acer seem to be taking forever to answer, I emailed them over 2 weeks ago!
