    Hi,

I need to install a new BIOS on my Acer 5930G and need to use Crisis Disk. Therefore, I need the BIOS file (*.fd), but I can't extract the file from the acer installer. Can you help me how I can receive a working BIOS file in order to flash my BIOS new with Crisis disk? (Extracting the *.exe file from acer for BIOS Updating with 7zip doesn't work and when I start the exe file, the BIOS file is not extracted in the appdata/local/tem folder either.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

try to run the *.exe as Administrator and in old Windows compatibility mode (in the file properties). Are you runnning Win10 x64? I have both "1.23 OEM version" file in ROM format (from my BIOS dump) and the same 1.23 with the advanced + SLIC modded version ROM file. I've attached it here. Try to flash with Phoennix flasher, first the OEM 1.23 version and then after flash the modded 1.23 version.
