    Hi all,

I've had an Acer 6930g for the past 4+ years and I think I need an upgrade. My 3d software (and even Photoshop now) is really chugging.

    Here are my current specs:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz

    Memory: (RAM) 4.00 GB

    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS

I'm looking to upgrade all 3, just wondering what the recommendations are? I really don't want overheating issues, but I'd like a significant performance upgrade.

I was thinking a T9600, one 4GB stick (total would be 6GB RAM) and a 9600M GT DDR3. Would that work fine? Never upgraded a laptop so not sure about the details.

Of course, if anyone has a better combination idea, please let me know.
