    Acer 6920 laptop

    keys on right hand side of keyboard only show numbers and not the letters I pressed, the left side seems to be okay. What would cause this?

    Two words, csmallma: Num Lock.
    It turns J, K, L, U, I, and O into part of a numpad.
    Hit Fn + F11 to disable Num Lock and get back to normal.
