    Hey guys,

It's been bugging me for a while.. I've been noticing that sometimes when I type, I get some keyboard lag and it misses letters. There's no way it can't keep up with me, I mean I type fast.. roughly 100-120wpm, but not THAT fast? Other keyboard(s) have no problem catching me, it's just this Acer one seems to be laggy at times.

This time around though, I have noticed that after I installed the Synaptics driver, it started happening. I wonder if it's related?

Further research via Google has revealed the same symptom from other Synaptics people (Asus laptops included.)

I'm using Synaptics Touchpad V6.3. I might try looking for another version.

This happens to me but only since I got my laptop back from Acer repair. Also some text boxes are worse than others for missing letters.

    Sorry, just to clarify.

My hardware is the Synaptics Touchpad V6.3

The driver I was using before was: v14.0.6.0
I have now installed from Acer Europe Support: v10.2.4.0

The problem isn't as obvious anymore but it's still apparent when it does happen. They really don't lie when they tell you to install the Synaptics driver from the manufacturer and not from them. It seems kind of silly though for Acer/any manufacturer to have custom-made implementations of the same hardware.. I mean, it doesn't even make sense to do that, but whatever.

I have also set my pointer refresh from high to low. This seemed to basically fix my problem entirely.

I know, I know. I think it has something to do with the keyboard's latency being long enough that certain keystrokes in the same grouping of keys are dropped.
