    Acer 6920g won't turn on - need help fast

    It's not like the last time when it died completely on me; it powers on and stays like that but makes no effort to do qnything. Before this, I had to shut it down manually as it hung on the screen while I was trying to reset it.

    Is there some way to do a hard reset? It might have tried to hibernate and is now confused. What should I do?

    Ah remembered how to do it - took the battery out, held down power for half a minute. Also fixed the media control panel which had been broken for ages! gREAT,
