    Hi,

I have purchased a Acer 6930. It had Vista installed and the 5.1 Surround was working perfectly fine. I recently Installed Windows 7 and i'm unable to get the 5.1 speaker configuration setup.

When i configure the speakers, it shows me only Stereo setting. Can someone provide an idea how to enable 5.1 speakers in Windows 7.

    Thanks

Are you using 5.1 Surround speakers?

drivers will be on your recovery partition or, if you have removed that to load win 7, on your backup recovery discs that you should have created. otherwise, ahl395 above

You probably won't find drivers for windows 7 atm as it's in beta stages, you will need to use vista drivers, if you still have issues installing you will have to run the setup in vista compatibility mode.

before you run the setup for the audio driver, right click on the file, then right click on the file, then click the compatibility tab, and run in vista compatibility mode.
