    Acer 6930G GPU Upgrade help

    I'm new to these interesting forums, so this topic is a bit of a chance to say, well, hi!
    But thats not the real issue which led me to creating this topic. I've had my Acer Aspire 6930G for a while, unfortunatly around the time when windows vista came out >.<, and i got it plainly because it used to be a good gaming laptop. But as you all know the gaming industry moves on rather rapidly, and unfortunatly the time has come to replace my 9300M GS graphics card. The problem is I have no clue which one to get :( and unfortunatly im also no good with computers.
    The specs to my computer are:
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5800 2.00 GHz
    3 GB RAM
    32-bit OS
    Windows Vista Home Premium

    The graphics card which i had in mind was a

    Asus Radeon HD 4670 PCI-E 2.0 HDMI 1GB Graphics Card: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

    seeing as many people have talked about it with their acer 6930G

    If there are any other graphics cards which are better than this one which i have selected please let me know, or if the graphics card is not compatible with the laptop, again, please let me know :) Im not willing to upgrade my CPU just yet, so i would appreciate it if you only gave me help and suggestions on the T5800 CPU

    how do you plan on using a desktop card on your laptop? :S...... enlighten us?

    You can't use a desktop video card with your Aspire 6930G - you need an MXM video card.
    Check the Acer MXM thread for ideas and info.
    The GeForce 9600M GT GDDR3 and Radeon HD 4650 DDR2 might be your best bet.

    I recommend your best best, get a new laptop. dont mess with the gpu if you've never done anything like it

    haha thanks for the help dudes :) unfortunatly i dont have the cash for a new laptop :( but have an experts shop down ma road who make computers gona talk to them. thanks for the link tehsuigi :)

    I'm curious, is the 4670 DDR2 a true 4670 or rather a 4650 flashed with the vBIOS of a 4670?

    its why im asking these dumb questions, as i cant buy a new laptop/desktop, im asking for what graphics card i should get, and with iced tea saying i should get this one, im asking for friendly suggestions on what one it actually is on amazon or any other marketing websites, so please dont tell me its a desktop graphics card, but please tell me which one i should be looking at.
