    Hii.... I wont to overclock my processor P8400, but there are no program that's work with this processor....I use setFSB and ClockGen but this freeze my laptop.....any other solution???!! :rolleyes:

    You need to know your PLL. No idea where you can get it(except disassembling your laptop of course :D) Check Andy's Thread for more info.

    If it's like the 6920 it has a mesh protecting it. So acer will know that it has been opened

    I spoke with Acer Support, and they said it was OK to open the thing up and replace stuff, just that the new bits can't be serviced by them.
    I didn't talk to them about just nosey-poking around in there.
    And the mesh is sandwiched into the backplate in order to keep dust out - Acer won't have a clue that I've peeked into my system.

    Of course, the PLL is probably on the OTHER, not-as-easily-accessed-by-user side of the motherboard.
