Hi guys! I'm not tech savvy, not even a little bit so bear with me here please guys.

I have an Acer 6935G, a year now and love it, but there is something that has become something of problem lately.

Next to the touch cinedash console next to the keyboard there is heat in the area. So for example, the WASD keys are hot, and to the left of the mouse touchpad is really hot. The rest of the laptop is relatively ok cool.

Can anyone please tell me what type of hardware belongs in that area and if any other people experience this issue with their laptop? I mean, it is a little agitating, because I rest my hand in that area constantly. I haven't been explaining well where the problem lies, so Ill upload a picture showing where the heat is. *View attachment*

And if someone knows about how to help solve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys and merry christmas! :D

You might want to unscrew the laptop's back plate and clean the exhaust fan and heatsink fins.

On the 6930G which I'm assuming is similar, that's where almost everything is. That box you drew has the RAM, GPU, CPU, and part of the heatsink. And the HDD is next to that point. I clean mine periodically so it doesn't get hot.
