    Hello All
    I have an Acer.
    The 6935G Model
    with 4GB DDR3,T9400,and 9600GT 512 MB DDR3.

when i run CPU-Z it states that the ram is working at DDR2 level, and the cpu sometimes at 2526 and sometimes at 1595.
    why is that?

    snf p.s.
why does the ram run at 398 Mhz ?

Not sure about your RAM, your CPU is working normally. It is a thing called speedstep. Basically the CPU will only use the power when it needs it. This reduces the voltage used by the CPU, increasing battery life, and lowering heat.

There is a new Bios update out that will correct this.

    ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_6935/bios/v1.10.zip

If you going to update your bios, do it with caution, if it goes wrong, you will then have a vewry expensive door stop!!!!

It's something you put next to a door to stop it closing.

So if you update your bios and it goes wrong it will be a doorstop!!!

If you want your RAM to run at the speed it is suppose to (1066 MHz) instead of (800 MHz) then updating your Bios is the only option one has.
