Ok so i updated the bios to 1.20. and it was working fine but i opened up the laptop to fix a heating problem and now my laptop monitor isnt working.
It isnt even being detected by the computer.. using an external monitor at the moment and when i go to select display it only gives 1 option - the external monitor.

anyone know what the problem is

Actually i just recalled that this happened right after my laptop shut down from over heating :(

I know that happened to me once when I accidentally tugged out the ribbon cable connecting the monitor to the motherboard. Go find your 6935G service manual via Google (can't share it on NBR), and then locate where your monitor connects to the motherboard. See if the cable is possibly damaged, too.

After you cleaned yours did you find that the CPU temperatures didnt change at all?

I dont know if this is happening because of my amazing cleaning or something went wrong

Because the CPU temperatures arent deviating at all *GPU is*

the led behind the screen dnst lit too.
can u please help me out with this...

    1) in ur case was the led acer logo at the back of screen working? mine dsnt
    2) what cable fixed the prob? the flat white ribbon cable or the other thin black cable goin to lcd

    thanks in advance

just to add im electronics graduate student so i know what i am doing, but i need to be sure..
    --------------------
Ok i solved the problem it was the shielded silver mesh cable which needed to be pressed into place.
If u have the service manual the connector is labeled cn2 LCM connector page 87.
For others who mite have the same problem im attaching an image for ease.
