    Hi all,

Just bought an Acer 722 off Amazon. I had the option of buying a 3.5 hour battery, or a 7 hour battery - I got the latter.

After charging the laptop, it shows:

    100%: 3 hours 50 minutes

    When it depletes, it goes:

    93%: 3 hours 33 minutes

    91%: 3 hours 59 minutes

Now I understand that as a new battery, it's going to fluctuate. What I'm wondering is - did I get the 3.5 hour battery, rather than the 7 hour battery? Not really sure how to check it, and the fact that the fluctuations are happening around the 3-4 hour mark are concerning me.

(As a side-note, I can't get YouTube videos to work smoothly using Chrome/Flash11. Any alternative Flash player that works?)

here are the 2 different batteries

    24.4 W 2200 mAh 3-cell Li-ion battery pack
    48 W 4400 mAh 6-cell Li-ion battery pack

get a program called battery bar it will tell you the batter mAh if its the higher one then you got the latter

It is the higher one :) Should I let it deplete completely and then recharge it? Would that help it calibrate?

Also, is there a 9 cell to give me a bit of a boost?

it would and 4 hours rated time for moderate use is very good.

7 hours probably was on pwoer saving with wireless off.

you could probably get 7 hours with moderate/heavy use with the 9 cell attery

    OK, good to know.

Could you link me to a 9-cell battery that would be compatible with this? I'm rubbish with this! And I'm too scared to buy an "unofficial" battery, haha.
