Its telling me that i need to repair from the vista CD but keeps coming up with the same error message. It keeps repairing it and once ive clicked finish it still doesnt go onto windows from there.

    The error message is:

    "Windows\system32\drivers\msisadrv.sys

    Status 0xc00000e9

Failed to load due to this critical system driver is missing or corrupt"

I have tried to download the drivers off the Acer website but they dont seem to have any effect.

    Any ideas?

    Hi

Have you done some hardware changes recently? New RAM? New HDD? Do you use express cards?
Do you have Vista SP1 installed?

When exactly this error occurs? On Windows startup? If yes does Vista load in "safe mode"?

None to all of the question and it wont load at all before windows loads up it comes up with the error message and prompts me to keep trying to repair it through the vista disc but that doesnt work

Well, since you can't actually enter into Windows then it's not possible to load any hotfixes..or do anything actually.

I would probably go for Vista reinstall here as you're pretty much out of options. You could try to manually copy/replace the corrupted files if you knew which files are those. Vista is not saying which files are missing or corrupted; it's just saying that msisadrv.sys can't load because some system driver is missing or corrupted...
Reinstall is your best bet IMHO. If you decide to go that road, I strongly suggest you install Vista SP1 after Windows installation is complete. If you don't have Vista CD and will be using the recovery partition or the recovery CDs keep in mind that the recovery process will destroy all the data on your C: drive.

Yep, A reinstall is in order. a painless process really if you have your documents backed up. One thing I love about vista is the fact that loading drivers is a thing of he past, if it does not have them built in, it finds them automatically. just reinstall and you should be good to go
