I have recently acquired an Acer 7220G notebook. Every morning when I switch it on it freezes on the acer splashscreen. I then reboot and it will always load up on the second go.

I have tried switching it off during the day and on again but is always ok. The problem only occurs when the power has been off for a number of hours. It is getting incredibly frustrating have to startup twice each morning.

I have contacted Acer who suggested I do a system recovery but I have already carried this out and it didn't solve the problem. Acer are now saying I need to send it to their repair centre but I would like to see if anyone else has experienced this or has any ideas on how to fix the issue.

Downloading the BIOS update (version 1.45) WILL solve your problem.

Hi guys... i'm really happy with my lap :D

I've a wonder trouble. I flashed the BIOS to the new version (1.47) but... I forget remove the HDD password. Now I Know and insert the correct password but the BIOS not accept it.

My answer is. ¿How could I remove the password?
