I have an Acer 7735-6719 laptop, but hate the keyboard and the restiction of pushing the screen back. A friend has the older 7530-5682..and is willing to swap... would you advise this? what are the pros and cons. answers appreciated

Cuspchild, I can't find any information on the Acer Aspire 7735-6719, only a 773 8-6719. Is that what you've got? If not, post your specs please!
For others, here's the Aspire 7530-5682.

Thanks, Cuspchild! Here's the specs for everyone.

The 7738G does have a stronger CPU, far better graphics card, faster RAM, and a higher resolution screen (different aspect ratio, but 1600x900 > 1440x900), but all of that is pointless if you can't stand the keyboard. Understand that you're taking a sizable cut in specs, but if you really dislike the Aspire 7738G, you could do worse in a trade.

Thanks for your input. I knew it was a backward step, but was wondering whether there was really any merit in making the swap... Guess not.

A USB keyboard is a lot cheaper than upgrading a CPU and MXM graphics card. :3
