Hello everyone, I have a new acer 7745g with a Blue-tooth 3.0+hs card in it. The problem I am having is that the blue-tooth works when I go back to default factory Windows 7 install, but either during Windows 7 update or while I am configuring my wifi I loose blue-tooth connectivity. I tried to reinstall the drivers and that did not work. Next I went to windows uninstall and took out the blue-tooth drivers and then tried to re-install the drivers and it says that the device cannot be found . I believe its software as the blue-tooth works out of the box. I was setting up my router and when I was done I noticed the blue-tooth icon was gone in the taskbar and the blue-tooth device listing was also gone in device manager. I also was updating Windows 7 in the background. So I am not sure which did it.
Also other than the driver issue, this is a nice laptop. It runs cool and I get no BSOD or freezing. I have played Crysis, Dead Space, Bioshock with no issues. Thanks for any input.

Foxconn BCM92046 Bluetooth is based on Broadcom chipset- see if you can find more recent drivers for Broadcom BT 3.0 modules. Acer newer updates their drivers but you may also want to see if any Acer notebooks launched after your notebook had been launched have newer BT 3.0 drivers included on the support site.

I found the file that is stopping my blue-tooth from working. Its a Windows update file number (KB971033). It checks for Windows 7 activation and correct keys. I don't know how this would break blue-tooth drivers, but it's only a recommended update so I hid the update file. So for me this problem is fixed. Hope this helps.
