I recently bought an 8101 off ebay that originally came from Franch and has the French edition of XP installed. Does anyone know the best way for me to install an English edition of XP. Ideally I would like to get hold of the English XP restore disks (i have 2 french ones), looking at whats was supplied the general drivers and utils disk is multi-language.
Could I get this from Acer or would some kind soul be able to send me a copy. I presume there is no licensing issues but please inform me if there is.
Cheers.
I'm based in London, UK btw.

cubiq,
I work for Acer repairing comps in the US. I asked my boss, and he said since it's French, there's no way to exchange it for English (something to do with Microsoft). Your best bet is to get another copy of XP and download the necessary drivers from http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/index.html. Hope this helps! -

Could you lot please come over here and teach the tech team this side of the pond how to actually organise themselves? It sounds like they might have the people but a complete lack of organisation which just screws it all up. [}
