I know Acer uses the design of another manufacturer in their other models, but I was curious to who really made the 8100 series, if applicable here.

Samsung is a Korean company, and I believe they actually might be a notebook ODM.

Quanta is the biggest notebook ODM in the world, based in Taiwan, just like most notebook ODMs. Acer is a taiwanese company, and I thought they actually are ODMs themselves...

    cheers,

    yass

The 8100 series is build by Quanta but it's a Acer unique design and they can't sell it to other vendors
