As I am heading off on a very long plane trip back to Europe, I want to know if I can purchase an additional battery for my Acer 8930 once it arrives?

Because I am flying economy, my seat will not be equipped with an EmPower jack, so I will be running with the battery only.

And I want to know about tips. I know about training your battery by fully charging it then letting it completely deplete so it knows how much charge it can hold.

Are there any other tips of how to extend the life of my battery?

Let me get this straight. You are flying economy and expect to whip out your 18" Laptop and use it thru the full charge of one battery and into the next? Are you a masochist?
