    Hi

New to this forum. Just bought an acer 8930g and I'm really happy with it but the display resolution will only go to 1680x945 in the control panel and I'm a bit confused with this as the specs state it has a 1920x1080 native resolution. I registered the product with Acer and emailed them about the problem but I can't even bring myself to repeat the answer they gave me!

I've tried to updae the display driver and it's still the same. It's also telling me in the control panel that the monitor (1) is generic pnp. Is that right or has that got something to do with the problem? I've tried a custom resolution in the nvida panel and it still wont display 1080!

    Model sub code is 734G32Bn.

Please Help, I was really looking forward to this huge resolution!!

Could you actually post the reply from Acer?

I think you misunderstood something, the screen is 1680x945 it's only if you are using a HDMI cable to make an output to a full hd monitor you can get to that resolution. Sry
