    Hello mate,

I have installed a second HD in mine but there is no Raid option.

There is drivers for vista 64 on acers website so you could install that but there are currently no W7 drivers. You could install W7 but you will not get the graphics cards to switch.

You can boot with Intel enabled with the start button or boot with ATI card enabled with the media button (on the right of the keyboard next to the hold I think)

Sorry but definately no RAID I just checked.
    Only AHCI or IDE

Dont worry, most latops have very limited BIOS' laptops are a world apart from desktops.

Even if somebody modified the BIOS you still wouldnt get RAID as I am sure ACER used the intel ich10 southbridge instead of the more expensive ich10r which includes raid.

It's strange because in service there is Raid intel running.

It's not Intel RAID, it's a Matrix Storage, which is often, but not in this case a RAID card. You can RAID1 within Windows itself if you want.

Munkyjim is correct. Matrix storage is for AHCI or RAID, we are in AHCI.

Although you can RAID1 in windows, you will take a big performance hit doing so. I would recomend regular backups instead.

And RAID 0 isnt all its cracked up to be, you are better off buying an SSD for games an OS and a large drive for storage, this would give you much better performance than RAID o
