Well I have been using my new Acer 9300-5005 for a while and I must say I am extremely pleased with it.

Many computers now days come with a lot of bloat ware and Acer does include some software. But the only software I considered bloat ware was Norton Security and anti virus for just 90 days. I also find no use for NTI Backup NOW! 4.7 or NTI CD & DVD-Maker 7 but they are complete and seem to work well enough. But the backup software included in the Acer Empowering Technology package works so well that nothing else is needed even though Windows Vista comes with good backup software also but not as good as Acer's in my opinion.

The display is the best I have ever seen while the full size keyboard is very easy to use. The wide screen lets me take good advantage of the Windows Sidebar that comes with Windows Vista (more on that elsewhere). The keys are a little spongy so I have to really mean to type a letter but it also helps keep me from so many typing mistakes by bumping a key next to the one want.

    More later.
