    I have a Acer Aspire 9410-4933 which I downgraded to XP. Everything is working great except for an issue with the COM and LPT ports. I can't seem to find the right device driver(s) to get these to work properly. The Device Manager lists them as Communications Port (COM9) and Printer Port (LPT3) with the present yellow dot with the exclamation point.

    Checking the Device Status for COM9 it reads;

    "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

    The LPT3 Device Status reads;

    "Windows cannot determine the settings for this device. Consult the documentation that came with this device and use the Resource tab to set the configuration. (Code 34)"

    I'm not even sure if I have installed the right driver that is needed for these to function. The only driver that will install are standard Windows drivers. Hopefully someone has a clue, because I don't. TIA
