Priced at about 2000 Euros this might mean you won't see it in the US any time soon as pricy models don't always make it ( see Samsung and LG ) .
While dubbed as HD its only WXGA , I expected WSXGA .
Only core duo when in less then a month you'll probably be able to get ( or order ) 17" core 2 duos for an even lower price .
It would be interesting to see what Acer is planning to do about it as now they don't have any 17"er able to compete with the market leaders .

lol that's an outrageous price
I just ordered a 17" E1705 Inspiron with 1 gig ram, 100gig 7200rpm and T2500 Dual Core 2.0Ghz and Geforce 7900 for less than $1300 (that's about 1050 Euros) - I'm living in Germany, but luckily don't have to buy notebooks hereOtherwise the system would have cost like 2.500 Euros

The E1705 comparison was exactly what I had in mind , although the acer is supposed to have some advantages its still twice as expensive .
Pitty cause I was looking forward to its release , guess it will be Dell again . -
