Well, trying to get an adapter from Acer was a hassle and pricy so I gave up.

Sigh............ I should have stuck it out......................... I went with this iTEKIRO untit from new egg.

I plugged it in and the LED on the brick illuminated and my keyboard responded by lighting up but the battery status did not indicate it was connected and the orange LED beside the plug was blinking (usually steady when connected).

Drat! Sigh........... as per Newegg I contacted iTekiro for a return label and they promptly responded wanting the serial of their brick and my brick and I complied. Again a very prompt response apologizing with a claim one will be dispatched priority mail.

    OK. I wait.
As for appearance and build its not shabby at all. The cords were stiff from the cold weather but became better manageable @ room temps. The plug is pretty sturdy and the metal parts are not thin as I have seen on most.

Reviews are not many so perhaps they are new on the scene? I'll report back on the next one.
