Acer AO751h Intel z520 @ 1.33 Ghz 2 GB Windows Vista home basic from walmart. Problems.

i bought this thing for 350 bucks at walmart this month, the only thing good is that it weighs 2 lbs. and has a built in
networking card. I had to buy a cd drive for an exta 85 bucks because this thing is so barebone.
computer independantly just wigs out on its own all the time, curor sporatically jumping all over the screen, selecing,
highlighttng, unhighting, moving text about on its own, and not responding to manual input, sporatically opening and shutting
windows and progams and sporatically moving between them and moving text about by itself,
freezing and locking up all the time,
leaving me to wait and lose productivity while i wait for it to quit wigging out on its own and fight with it pushing
keys repeatedly all the time as it does not respond to what i am typing or where i am trying to direct the cursor, cursor
just dispapears on its own and acts indepentently sifting through programs, sporatically opening up random dialog boxes, and
the locks itself up without any manuel input on my part. some annoying little macaffe pop up kept intruding
on my computer time along with other little systray bubbles until i joyfully uninstalled that sucker!
all these problems in this post were far worse, as it would go into some internal processing mode for hours then just
crash before gleefully uninstalled most of windows vista's bogus and bulky
cursor changes into differnt sorts of icons sporatially on its own, then computer does other weird, unproductive,
frustrating, time consuming things by itself, and does not
respond to my manual keyboard or mouse input. cursor chronically skips all over the screen
in my documents, scrolling and moving through random programs independently on it own, and
then crashes chronically. this is after uninstalling most of the garbage preloaded onto the windows vista
operating system that caused many annoying pop ups and annoying unneccessary systray messages and pop ups that
interfered with the joyful and productive use of the main reason i shelled out money to buy a computer in the first
place. and it frequently just takes off on a flight of rapidly opening and closing programs,
maximizing, minimizing them, showing the desktop, popping up and closing the start menu all
in rapid succession as if responding to some sort of external uncontrolled sporatic radio stimuli overriding
its ability to function properly, as i don't
even touch the thing as it acts out tempermentally on its own when i'm in the middle of important research
tasks while i'm using the thing which disrupts hours of my hard work that this thing is supposed to be making easier
not harder. it also just does everything i don't want it to do
when it's wigging out. it often doesn't cut,copy, and paste the things
i want it to cut,copy and paste like my normal pc does. buttons i do push are not always registered by the computer,
and sometimes register minutes or an hour later before it crashes. this thing spazzes out and types information into
online fields that i do not even type in. i was doing one thing in one program but this thing wants to do it its own
thing and take my typed text and put in in an entirely different program and wig out and make dinging noises at me as
i just take my hands off the thing and watch it wig out before it crashes. what did i pay for???
i'm only doing to minimum with it with it, like typing on a notepad and surfing internet and it's still wigging out.
before i uninstalled them, even the basic pre-installed games were choppy and pixelated and would crash the computer.
no way this thing could play a nice top of the line retail game by blizzard entertainment.
if i push buttons on the keyboard to try to tame the out of control thing, it just crashes.
should i spray it with a fire extinguisher, take a sledge hammer to it, and
then take it back to walmart and demand my refund???
the cursor sporatically jumps all over the document throughout my typing, leaving letters and spaces scattered
sporatically scattered throughout my
document, cutting, pasting, opening and shutting programs, the start menu, and pop ups all on its own all to my dismay
as a customer. is this all because its an acer, because its intel instead of AMD, is this partially
because that windows vista sucks as well compared
to windows xp pro?... even as i type now in notepad, it cutting, pasting, scrolling,
sporatically all over the document (among other things) on its own as the cursor changes itself into
some funky little crossbar compass looking thing without my prompting, it also goes into modes that the keyboard will
not respond, it will type what i did not want to type, delay all the time, and open all sorts of weird dialog boxes
that i do not want open in the middle of typing each and every word. I cant keep the cursor where it is supposed to be,
even when i turn off the built in finger cursor movement pad.
i want to get on my computer and relax and get things done when i need to with smooth
streamlined smooth sailing power at my finger tips, not fight with it all day,
and watch my hard work get erased all the time
because the thing cant stop crashing itself!!!
i have to type in notepad because the microsoft works program is too bulky for the 2 gigs of ram
and causes it to crash too much. you would think you could do alot with 2 gigs of ram, apparently not so with acer
and windows vista. this notebooks middle name is delayed reaction.
i think faster processors and more ram should be making things better and faster for the consumer.
i want more power at my fingertips, not more of microsofts bulky pre-loaded crap slowing down my computer.
i hope acer and microsoft find this post.
kinda like a mazda, don't buy an acer...
