    hello

i was wondering if anyone couldshed light on this little issue, of me not being able to output video from the AOD150 via a (working) VGA cable to the KDL40EX600.

the laptop recognises the "monitor/tv" output and gives me functions to clone, extend etc etc.... yet the option in the TV where it says PC video does not light up

i have checked the VGA cable against my other laptop (a dv5 1009tx) and that laptop has no issues with the tv or display?? any ideas

    thanks

any idea guys...i was wondering whether or not its an issue against not being able to select output resolutions perhaps?...... any drivers or any thoughts on that?...thanks

    well..update

i tried booting the KDL40EX600 as the only monitor..ie only output.........and still no dice,

i cannot understand, the VGA cable works ...the HDMI and components on the LCD work...but the netbook cannot drive a display to the LCD..using VGA

    is it drivers/ BIOS (1.11)

    any help guys

Have you tried cold booting the laptop while connected to the Sony over VGA?

    thanks icedaddy for the reply

yup...i tried...the LCD on the AOD150 goes black.....but then i wait perpetually for ever and no display...... (only happened when i downgraded the BIOS to 1.09...i wouldnt get anything on the 1.11)

and thing of note is that the input options on the TV show all the various types...and at last is the PC input and the option does not highlight, as in the TV does not detect any VGA device connected to it....even when the AOD is plugged into it using the VGA cable

Do you have access to a VGA monitor for testing?
