Hey everyone, I apoligize if this shouldn't be in a thread of its own. As a recent owner of a AS1410, I am absolutely loving it in terms of travel, build quality, typing experience, etc.

However, yesterday I had to print a few things and when I was done, I left the notebook on all day (not plugged in - on battery) and by the time I got back around 4 hours later - my battery was completely drained. Like, so much that it shut down and hibernated and couldn't come back. Unfortunately, after this Battery Bar now reports a 1.9% wear level. Quite a bit considering I've only owned the notebook for 3 weeks. (!!)

Now, it's not that big of a deal to me, since it was bound to happen anyways, albeit not THIS quickly. It can be fixed by picking up a new battery, however - I can't find any battery that I know will work with the AS1410 or Acer 1810T. I looked at Acer's USA Online Store, and none was in stock and it was a ridiculous $149.00.

    Question:
Is there any possible way to reset this relatively new battery back to 0.0% wear level? (I heard discharging it all the way and recharging it works - however, that's exactly what happened here and it caused more of an issue.) or Where can you purchase an extra battery for this thing? They're no where! I can't find them anywhere online.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Calm down :) 1.9% wear isn't much if you ask me. Just use this thing and recalibrate once a month or so. Recharge early and often. If you buy a new battery, you should get the 5600mAh 1810t/1810tz battery. I don't have a link at hand but people already posted where to buy these things. Check Timeline Tweaks and especially the "Optimizing battery life and undervolting" guides.
