    Hi,

I recently bought my girlfriend an Acer AS5560-Sb653 from Costco. She and I have both noticed the hinge seems unusually loose for a laptop. I can't figure out if this is just a common thing on this series of Acer laptops or a problem with her laptop in particular. It doesn't seem much different from the floor models (hard to tell since they aren't side by side, and with a floor model I except the hinge to be loose from opening\closing 50 times a day).

She's only had it a month or so, so it's within the return window, and it's NOT loose to the point that it wobbles on it's own...but if you move the laptop forward or backward quickly with a bit of force the lid will shift from the force (more easily than most laptops I've owned - and I've owned a lot).

I'm just concerned it opens\closes SO easily now that down the road it may become more loose and have trouble staying in position - or perhaps it's just how Acer designs their laptops, purposly making it really easy to open and close the laptop.

I know I could just exchange it if I'm REALLY concerned, but since everything else works great on the laptop I hate to return a perfectly good laptop over what could ultimately be a non-issue. Thanks in advance for your input!
