    Acer AS6920G - Keyboard error?

    Oh the joys of surprises when it comes to laptops...

    I've had this beauty for just under a year (warranty will be up in about a week and a half), and I'm completely in love with it. Dual booting the preload Vista (freshly installed, months ago) with the RC of Windows 7. The majority of use is within 7.

    Out of the blue, two days ago, I start having the inconvenient occurrence of random letters and numbers being inserted during my normal typing. This only happens when my keyboard is in use. While composing documents for work, I'll end up taking three times as long simply by the fact that I have to redo sentence after sentence, as the ever constant "=0o" and similar additions don't really suit what I'm doing.

    Along with that, I play World of Warcraft, and it's semi-difficult to play while random buttons are being pressed, signaling spells and movements when not intended.

    And finally, some hidden sleep mode is triggered by an invisible button while typing.

    This does not happen all of the time. It's only after some time of use after turning the computer on that it does it. At first, I think it was some prank virus that was wrecking havoc on my life... wiped and reinstalled one of the partitions to test, but no luck (waste of time that was...). I've tested an external keyboard, and there was no issue there.

    As my warranty will be up on the 14th, I did toss in a Tech Service request on their website, however, I NEED this unit for work and the like. It is constantly in use, with no other issues. Being without the machine for 3-6 weeks while they replace a silly keyboard is difficult to fathom.

    Anything else I could attempt to try fixing my issue without involving them? Or, short of that, think there's any possibility that they'd simply send out the keyboard replacement with my credit card on file, then I'll ship back my old one once replaced?

    Any help from you folks would be greatly appreciated. I didn't want to hijack the 6920G Owner's Thread with this, though I do quite frequently follow everyone's tips and tweaks in there.

    What input languages are installed under your keyboard settings (in regional/language options)? Uninstall all except US keyboard.
