Well at my work place the chef owns and Acer Aspire One AOA 110-1588. The drivers here downloaded as a joke and thus nothing installs nor does it uninstall.

I began by trying to re install xp via Alt+F10 but it was a no go as there was no recovery partition. Then I tred the disc.. that was an epic fail as the virus prevented a boot up from an external source.

    It even affected safemode.

Currently I began runninng DBAN but it crashed as the SSD has bad sectors according to DBAN error reporter.

It refuses to install the OS from an external ODD should I go for a new XP disc or any suggestions?

sounds like the SSD was defective. Throw a SATA drive in there and start over w/the disk provided by Acer if it was me.

    is the SSD under warranty?
