ok the first problem is the blu-ray player, upon a clean install of windows i was unable to play blu ray disks, i found out wat the problem is and its because there is no firmware installed for it, ive found the right one off there website, but ive still been having problems flashing it, every time ive tried, it jsut comes up with Update failed pretty much straight after starting, ive tried changing to PIO to DMA and vise versa, but still no luck

and secondly the brightness controls, i cant change the brightness changing the brightness bar doesnt do anything at all, i got vista chipset drivers off the Acer website but there is no windows 7 version as of yet, ive tried installing. it installs but it doesnt make any difference wat so ever. any other ways of sorting this out?

Would greatly appreciate any help, this has been annoying me a lot and i havent had the laptop that long,

Brightness is controlled by the Nvidia driver, actually.
195.xx does have an issue with the brightness with the 6920G, so uninstall that and go with 186.81.

Also, in order to play Blu-ray discs, you need WHQL audio and video drivers. Make sure you've got WHQL-certified Nvidia and Realtek drivers.
