    how can i install xp os in my laptop(newly purchased). i have deleted the partition containing linups linux and booted from cd drive, after loading files from the installer an error messages appear on the screen about technical problem. what should i do, please help..

    You may need a SATA driver to install XP.
    Google it- there are many guides on how to do it.

    Or change the hdd access mode in the BIOS from AHCI to IDE/COMPATIBILITY mode as Xp does not come with an AHCI driver and will give a bsod on installation.
