So this laptop is somewhat new... I've voided the warranty (I think) by re formating to Linux. Since then, it seems my HardDisk has been corrupted. I'm unable to permenatley install an OS... I keep getting an error about the Hard Disk being unable to format.

Not sure if I've dropped it or damaged it by accident... Is there a way I can install a new HD?

Sure there is- just buy any 2.5" SATA HDD that is not taller than a standard driver (9.5mm is I remember correctly).
Another words- anything below 1TB will fit- these driver do nor exceed 9.5mm.
