I have an Acer Aspire 1350 series and did update the bios, it went fine but when restarting the machine it was requesting a "HDD Password".

Inside there is a 40Gb Seagate Momentus IDE drive.

    Does anyone got a clue?

    Best regards,

Use restore defaults in BIOS if you can access it.
If it doesn't help you can try a generic password which was 1111 or 11111 for Acer- probably won't work though.
Other than that I can't advise you anything more than to contact Acer.
It's against forum rules to discuss any form of bypassing security measures so as much as I sympathize with you I have to close the thread.
