    Acer Aspire 1410 screen garbled after sleep, following Intel driver update

    When this Windows 7 laptop awakens from sleep/hibernate, screen/display is garbled with rows and blocks of random pattern. This began after I used Windows Update to install an optional update to the Intel(R) 4 Series Chipset driver, to version 8.15.10.2021.

    The following thread describes the issue arising on Acer 3935 and also on Sony and Toshiba laptops, and gives a workaround:

    same here. bug w/ intel drivers. STILL has not been remedied. It is driving me nuts! I read the link, and would not that this problem has been in at least the last 3 released drivers. from now on i will try to remember to resume on dc if i went to hibernate/standby on dc. Same w/ AC as this switchover on current is what manifests the problem.
