    Acer Aspire 1500 - CPU Upgrade?

    Hi there!

    I was poking around inside this old Acer Aspire 1500, cleaning the heatsink and i notice the CPU seems to be removable (At least on first look, and a lever to lift CPU out).

    It would be nice to put this system back to regular use with a CPU upgrade, but im unsure on what CPU specifically to get.

    EVEREST Home Edition reports this as CPU info:

    CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 1800MHz (9x200) 3000+
    CPU Alias: ClawHammer S754

    If anyone could provide links to a CPU i could purchase for this Acer Aspire 1500 (eBay, Amazon, etc...) then i would be very grateful. :)

    If more information is required then just ask. ^_^
