ACER ASPIRE 1521LCI ATHLON 64 3000+ / 512MB / 40GB HDD / 15" SXGA / DVD-ROM/CD-RW / XP PRO/ 802.11G WIRELESS (NO STOCK)
For $1440.97. I can't find detailed information anywhere. Acer's website doesn't list it. I assume it's an update of the 1510 series that's been available outside America for quite some time. Does anyone have more info?

- 15.0 XGA (1024x768) or SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution
- 15.4 WXGA (1280x800)
NVIDIA GeForce4 448 Go with 64 MB of video memory
(manufacturing option)
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 with 64 MB of video memory
(manufacturing option)
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 with 64 MB of video memory
(manufacturing option)
So the question is, which screen and GPU option does the 1521LCI have? I'm going to guess that "SXGA" means SXGA+, and if that's the case then the GPU is probably the 5700. Ethernet is 1000Mbps (gigabit). This should make a really, really nice Linux notebook. Heavy bugger though, 8 pounds, I'm guessing they're using 62W or 81W A64's rather than the new 90nm chips.Last edited by a moderator: May 5, 2015
